Kurt E. Lee
As a longtime Sarasota resident, most people already know Kurt through his involvement at church or as a swim meet volunteer. To get Kurt talking however, ask him about his family. Kurt and his wife recently celebrated their 20th anniversary and they always seem to be working on a project (currently, it is raising monarch butterflies and building homes for Florida’s native bees). Kurt is also ready to share pictures and news regarding his United States Naval Academy Midshipman.
Born in Virginia and raised in New Jersey, Kurt moved to the west coast of Florida in 1993. He and his wife homeschooled their son while he swam for the Sarasota YMCA Sharks and, then, for Coach Ira Klein and the Sarasota Tsunami Swim Team.
